Hi all. So I was dignosed hypo about 6 weeks ago. Started out with TSH of 119. Am on 100 mg of Synthroid, since then my TSH has lowerd to 12, then 1.93 and now 1.01 (I get blood tests every 2 weeks)

Since my levels have been normal for about 4 weeks now I thought I would be feeling better. But I am not yet. I do feel way less moody (I actually thought I had post-partum depression) and I am sleeping better, but other than that the only major difference I feel is not feeling "drugged" in the morning...(that's the only way I can describe how I felt in mornings). I am still tired, and need to nap every day still...and if I don't nap one day I have to nap twice the next day. I still feel very unmotivated as well. I am just getting so frustrated feeling this way.

Am I being impatient? Will it just take more time to feel better? My Synthroid is still at 100 mg and will probably stay there or go down to 75 at the next appointment with my doc depending on my TSH. My doc said she will give me more tests if I am still feeling bad in future, but she said due to my high TSH initially, it may just take time for my system to get back to normal. Anyone else experience this? Any input would be greatly appreciated, just looking for some hope I guess. Thanks so much. Krusty

Hi Krusty

Yes,it takes time to balance out. Some people had it leveled after a year. But not to scare you, some can feel better within 3 months or lesser.

I know, it's very irritating and sometimes hate ourselves for being unmotivated.

Hang on and keep writing, it helps.

Hugs
