Does anyone else with Hashimoto's still have problems with your thyroid hormone levels fluctuating up and down after having the disease for many years. I am currently taking synthroid and it is just not leveling out nicely. It is so frustrating. you would think that enough of my thyroid would be dead by now that it wouldn't swell up and kick out too much hormone at times.

Hi Tiggerkenwood

Nice to see you here.

I understand how pressing it is having to live with high and low of hashi. I don't have hashi but I know thyroid level fluctuate substantially in hashi.

We have very few hashi here. Hopefully they can give some input.

Take care.

I am new to this forum and your subject line caught my attention. I have Hashi too, for 17 years. For me it has been pretty easy until 1 year ago. Lots of new symptoms and flucuating levels. I thougt i might be in early menopause. Dr said no, so I am taking 150mcg of levo(up from 100) and feel nothing has changed but Dr gave me Vitamin D supplement that has worked WONDERS !! turns out i had incrediblly low Vit D levels. No joke, 8 hrs later felt like a new woman. Energetic , ZERO brain fog and cheerful also no sleep probs. I test again in couple weeks. I don't know if the levo is helping but i know the vitmin D is working.

Ask dr to check Vit D and b12. It can't hurt you are already drawing blood every couple months. Good luck.
