I've had a damaged pituitary since the age of 15 after radition treatment for cancer in my nasopaharynx. I am now 44 and still searching for answers. I'm seeking support from others who have walked in my shoes. Society just doesn't understand -- even doctors -- they just say that I should be glad I don't have cancer anymore -- so apathetic Sad It's really sad there are not doctors who focus on people's quality of life. But they are quick to come up with new doctors for people who will pay lots of $$$$ to get their services -- like the new specialists that provide treatment for women with urinary incontinence. Guess doctors are like most of society & driven by what will make them the most $$. One day, I hope to change the lack of doctors that specialize in chronic disorders. I hope you will help me !!

Amy, agreed!

To finance the research on chronic conditions, we'd first need to come up with something to bust open the wallets of the pharma companies. And then tie it to chronic conditions.

So, something like....let's see....

I know! A toothpaste that has bleach AND hydrocortisone in it! To give you the brighter smile and extra HYDRO-BOOST to get you through your busy smiling day!!

(and then in small little tiny letters barely legible: "Each bottle of this overpriced goo will contribute to your love life and brilliant smile, but more importantly to the research and development fund of the AmysTired Foundation, which is taking your bucks that you obviously have no clue on how to spend and putting them into something worth while, like making doctors find a clue or two on how to treat hypopit issues without being dismissive, etc")

How's that for skeptical and optimistic at the same time??

just kidding, sorta....

(Except the part about the mouthwash...seems that already exists..I kid you not.

http://www.thinking-clearly.com/magic-mouthwash-new- prescription-mouthwash-kits-launched/112556/ OK, that really is kinda pathetic...)

Don't hope there is free stuff like surgery or medical will be free. Doctors are humans they are professionals and they have aline of service to give you and you pay amount for their cause. Why not think of an approach by making more money and buying a medical plan for the type of surgery you are trying to get. Well if it means to get your goals get 2 jobs even work on holidays and weekends this is a sacrifice people make when they want something in their lives. I am doing that too I am looking forward the day I get the money for the surgery.
