I just wanted to update my status on hgh. I am doing so well. I feel like I am becoming my old self again. I still have my limits but feel like I am part of the human race again. So awesome! I also have not taken any Desmopressin in a week. I started swelling up when we went to Tennessee. It was very hot and humid so I cut back on the it. When I got home it was very hot here and the swelling started again so I just stopped taking it completely. I am not as thirsty as I used to be and seem to be doing really well with out it. I don't know if it is the hgh that is helping me retain the water or if it is something else. I was told that my pit is fried from surgery and radiation so I don't think there is a chance that it will just start working again. I go to my endo at the end of the month, maybe he can shed some light on this awesome change. I really don't miss the DI at all!

Wish we had a "like button". My DI seems to come and go. My endo told me he has a few people like that and they just don't know why. Mine is gone for now too - don't miss it ONE BIT! Smile
I'm glad to share my experience, but I am not a doctor and you should always consult your own physician.
I am hypopituitary. I take prednisone (supplement with HC), levothyroxine, estrogen, growth hormone and DHEA.

Started my GH two nights ago - I am just hoping too that I will feel better and am encouraged by what you have written Sonya.

I have this fear though of getting too excited because I just need it to work so badly. I want to feel better and especially the social isolation part because I have slowly shut myself away from social gatherings etc for years..

Anyway, fingers crossed that this is the beginning of better times ahead.

I think my Doctor has been trying to prop me up with 55 of hydrocortisone and it hasn't made any difference at all - still just as tired and still only made it to work one day last week.

Also, one thing I wanted to ask..did anyone else find that if you are somehwere really busy like a supermarket you start getting really hot and sweating..this is one of the things I noticed that started a few years ago, am sure without the cortisol your body must be getting stressed and nervous and that makes you sweat but whatever causes it I just really want it to go away. After the sweating I then look exhasuted and really ill like I've climbed a mountain - no fun when all you needed was a few bits of shopping!!! I did notice someone else say that they could not control being hot or cold but GH helps with that - I hope so...

Congratulations on starting the HGH!!!! It was a slow noticeable difference for me. The first I noticed was doing things and it not wipe me completely out. Or I would say to my self I am going to pay for this tomorrow and the next day I felt fine. I sure hope it works for you. It has made a big difference in my life.

As for the hot and sweating, I was getting hot, not much sweat before the estrogen pills. I went from extreme cold to extreme hot. The estrogen has helped the hot. I dont have the extreme cold but do get cold easily and dont tolerate heat at all. Its really crazy, I keep the airconditioning on and sit with a blanket. So weird. But I do understand what you mean about being in a really busy place and it stressing you out. Christmas shopping was not good for me!!!! I could not get out of the stores fast enough. I think that has gotten better now that I think of it. I still get stressed or overwhelmed at times. I try to take myself out of the situation and take some deep breaths and calm my self. It usually happens to me when I have too many things going on at once. But all and all I feel much better and it really feels good to be back in the human race again!!!

Keep me updated on you progress!!! Have a blessed day!!!

Its only been four days but today for the first time in months I don't feel ill. My head seems clearer and have more energy. I actually made it to work and then stopped off at the supermarket on the way home. Those two things alone were like climbing a mountain just last week. Also I woke up before the alarm and managed to just get up straight away, I know its so early for any results but something has happened.

I really have hope now that things will get better.

That is so awesome! I am so excited for you! I know exactly how you feel. And it will get even better for you. I was so limited in what I could do and now my husband has to tell me to rest. I do still make sure that if I am really overdoing it, I take a little extra cortisol meds to help my body recover. Mostly if I am doing really physical activities. A good example is we have been remodeling a house we just bought. I've been sanding and painting and a lot of cleaning. Two months ago I would have never been able to do it. There were a few nights where my joints were hurting and feeling achy all over but by morning I was fine. It's so cool to be able to keep up with the rest of the world for a change!

I am so happy that you are feeling better, keep us updated on your progress!

Have an awesome day!

Sonya

Oh dear, today I managed to fall flat down in the road and of all the places it was outside the Ministry of Health building. The customs hall at the airport had stopped me collecting my 7 keto dhea so I had to go to the ministry to get a letter - usual hassle in this part of the world - so I trip up over a big lump of tarmac sticking up in the road and crash down, am covered in bruises and my ribs hurt, worst of all new handbag a bit scratched ha ha - anyway I get into the building and they couldn't care less, I even had a local guy standing there laughing at me, was in such a state as it had shocked me and was worried about the cortisol draining away etc with being stressed, also really wanted to punch the guy who was laughing at me (not sure whther thats a normal feeling or the fight or flight) - anyway apart fromm looking and feeling ill again am ok.

I have noticed though that when i wake up in the morning I actually want to get up now whereas before I did'nt and sometimes couldn't.

There will be jerks everywhere. I would have wanted to punch him too, steroids or not.. So sorry that you fell, it is so embarrassing, I have had more than my fair share of stumbles and public embarrassments. I hope that you heal quickly and that you can polish up your handbag! I also hope that you continue to feel better.

Ouch..sorry for the fall and all the hassle. I would have punched him too. We all know, people with hypocortisol can't handle stress well. I also noticed that I can easily get annoyed with any impolite behaviour. For me, it may be doubled as I'm not on gh. I enjoy reading you guys on gh.

Hope you feel better today.

Yesterday has led to a massive decision for me - I am going to close down my business and move away. There is just hassle on a daily basis and I really need to stop living so highly stressed out everyday. It's funny how you need to fall flat on your face to come to your senses - I really need to move somehwere where I actually have a Doctor and a good hospital to go to if needed. I am going to move to Bangkok, I lived there a couple of years ago while studying and I loved every second of it - had a great Doctor for my thyroid while there (didn't know about the other illness's then) so hopefully by early next year I am out of here - hurrah..also, you can get all your meds there whereas I can't here in Oman.

Plus, and this is a massive factor, have lived here 7 years and on a weekly basis you want to punch someone, so now I am ill am sure its only a matter of time before I get into serious trouble the next time a local starts laughing.

Just the day before the fall I was out shopping and had some breakable things that needed wrapping, 6 of them behind the counter dpoing nothing as they hate to work and I had to stand there and wrap up my own stuff, and of course, they were laughing as usual - I can feel myself getting so stressed but it is against the law here to be rude to a local...yeah, against the law..time to leave....asap..
