Who is taking HGH subcutaneous injections and what were your most noticeable results? How soon and at what age?

My 14 year old is now 2 years cancer free after having a pineal germ cell tumor, there has been no recurrence so HGH was next to get her feeling better. She is on a low adult dose b/c she no longer needs to grow but needs help with feeling better. This is the latest edition to her daily hormones and I am excited that this will hopefully be a positive step forward.

All information is welcome! THANKS!

Glad to have all of you and your experiences!!! Thank You for being a friend!

Hello!! Can you tell me what HGH stands for? Does it refer to Growth Hormone? I obviously am not taking those shots, but could do some research on the topic if I knew more about it.

kgo,

Would you consider reposting this at another MDJ site related to pituitary and adrenal issues? It is more active than this and you may get some answers there.

Hi Kim,

Im soooo happy to hear Mara is beginning GH!!

I think I told you before, but this replacement, for me, has made the world of difference.

Clear, fast thinking was one of the first things I noticed to return.. thankfully! My memory has improved. Also, my mobility improved greatly.

I never want to stop taking it, and go back to 'living' the way I was before.

Im sooo excited for her!

Brenda :)

Growth hormone - changes your overall sense of well being, helps with social isolation that can develop with low growth hormone. Increases energy, muscle mass, decreases fat ratio, helps stabilize blood sugar levels. I hope this answers your questions!

I'm glad to share my experience, but I am not a doctor and you should always consult your own physician.
I am hypopituitary. I take prednisone (supplement with HC), levothyroxine, estrogen, growth hormone and DHEA.

Well, those teen years are looonnnngggg gone for me - lol. I would presume it would have the same effects as well as any growing effects if she hasn't reached her full height as well. I'm not sure what dosing they use for teens vs. adults. I'm sure that teens require a higher levels but this is something your endo should know about. I think all of us that have been started on HGH have seen life changing effects and would never want to have it taken away from us!
