Hi Ella

Disease related to metabolic can be confusing and usually not a straight forward diagnosis. Hope your next blood work can show you something conclusive and they can start you with the appropriate treatment.

Take care.

Hi Nast

Me too, whenever I have adrenal fatigue, I crave for sugar drink and salty food.

Can you find other alternative for your protein, you need it. I learned from this forum, that we need those fat, protein and carbs. My protein is 1 half boiled egg every morning, and chicken soup or steamed for dinner.

Nast, I can't stand meat. I make for my family and eat a little...but I have never been a fan.

Here is my breakfast....two eggs, tofu, crab, and cheese....it is a super charged protein meal. Then I drink no sugar protein drinks. I love milk and do well with it. Whole millk is lower sugar than the others...although it is much higher fat. I need the fat bad to stabilize my blood sugar.

I am sure all of us have adreanal fatigue at least to some degree. You almost can't help but wear out your adrenals when you are pumping out adrenaline because your sugars bottom out.

Protein does not have to mean meat.....there are lots of better protein sources. In fact, processed meat is chocked full of sugar.

Seafood

Seafood is an excellent source of protein because it's usually low in fat. Fish such as salmon is a little higher in fat, but it is the heart-healthy kind: omega-3 fatty acids.

White-Meat Poultry

Stick to the white meat of poultry for excellent, lean protein. Dark meat is a little higher in fat. The skin is loaded with saturated fat, so remove skin before cooking.

Milk, Cheese, and Yogurt

Not only are dairy foods -- like milk, cheese, and yogurt -- excellent sources of protein but they also contain valuable calcium, and many are fortified with vitamin D. Choose skim or low fat dairy to keep bones and teeth strong and prevent osteoporosis.

Eggs

Eggs are one of the least expensive forms of protein. The American Heart Association says normal healthy adults can safely enjoy an egg a day.

Beans

One-half cup of beans contains as much protein as an ounce of broiled steak. Plus, these nutritious nuggets are loaded with fiber to keep you feeling full for hours.

Pork Tenderloin

This great and versatile white meat is 31% leaner than 20 years ago.

Soy

Fifty grams of soy protein daily can help lower cholesterol about 3%. Eating soy protein instead of sources of protein higher in fat -- along with a healthy diet -- can be heart healthy.

Lean Beef

Lean beef has only one more gram of saturated fat than a skinless chicken breast. Lean beef is also an excellent source of zinc, iron, and vitamin B12.

Protein on the Go

Grab a meal replacement drink, cereal bar, or energy bar. Check the label to be sure the product contains at least six grams of protein and is low in sugar and fat.

Protein at Breakfast

Research shows that including a source of protein like an egg or Greek yogurt at breakfast along with a high fiber grain like whole wheat toast can help you feel full longer and eat less throughout the day.

Harpgirl, thank you. You know, in the morning I do not have a good appetite, I eat not very much, and I can't eat eggs in the morning from childhood, cause it makes me feel dizzy, and not well.

I don't drink coffee, green tea, pepsi, due to caffeine contain. My doc said - NO caffeine, cause when I drink caffeine I feel really bad, extreme anxiety, shaking, heartbeat, and really bad and weak untill it gets out from the body... My doc says it's because you overstimulate your adrenals... they are exhausted and you should not drink this...

About other food, I noticed that I dont have a good appetite when it is hot outside, in the summer, may be because the body does not need the energy to heat himself. ALso I had the problems with freezing, I was always freezing in cold weather... and could not heat myself up...

Yes, it helped before, what you say. Now it does not. I ate as you, but now it does not work. You don't understand. I am lactating, and it is worse. A cup of soup and fish did not help. In urgent cases, which were frequent in lactatin do need much sugar in a drink. Cause sugar drop quick on a low carb diet and does worse. I am scared to death.

So I guess it is too dangerous for me to be on a low carb diet, because body gives out more than gets. 4 days after birth were in a heaven fo7 me. I could even not eat, and it were fine. On 4th night milk began to fl.ow. And on 5th day I had a severe attack, I almost died. Only a lot of sugar in a cup of a drinkl saved my life. God it was so close to death. This attack was really hard and it repeated in other days. So you see i ann not in a good condition.
