Hi aMatin, Do you go to an endocrinologist? I would think that there would be something you could take, but, I am not a medical provider and I really couldn't say. Many antidepressant medications work for anxiety. There is also Buspar and then more sedating medications such as Xanax and Klonopin. I would go to your primary care physician for him/her to evaluate you or also the endocrinologist as they would understand the other issues. I hope that you get better! Let us know how you are doi...

Chrissy30,
Thank you for PM'ing me. Have you gone to a health food store to look at any herbs for anxiety yet? I would get on the Panic Disorder Support Group and ask them questions. I just doesn't seem like this is diet related, although I am not there with you and I can't be sure. If it is anxiety or panic, caffeine, alcohol and nicotine can make it worse. Try tapering off on any of these products and see if you get bettEr. ;)...

What causes hypoglycemia attacks really?

Hi,

If you’re okay after taking sweet things, it's a sign that you’re having low blood sugar. People with low blood sugar will have this symptom whether they have taken their meal or not.

Body will see this as a stress and adrenal will secretes cortisol to protect the blood sugar from going further down. If you have low cortisol, it wont be able to do it.

If you have low cortisol, it can’t help much to fight your physical, and emotional stress, hence it explains your symptoms.

Hi. Can't speak to the nausea and vomiting, that sounds like something else, but I can speak to hypoglycemia. You mention fasting blood tests, but not which ones. If they were fasting over night and a test, that won't tell you much except a snapshot of how you were doing at that moment. Have you had a glucose tolerance tests or a hemoglobin A1C? The latter measure your glucose levels over about the last three months. If you have had spikes of high blood sugar, but it was low on a fasting mo...

Not sure if it is blood glucose level thing, but each time after I had my bowel movement, my bladder will filled with urine again, very fast, even though I've urinated before the bowel. Because of this, I have to take my medication to stop the urinating (small dose).

Seems that bowel movement do have some effect on the body...I'm still wondering.

Sorry, not much help....

Hi Hadlee01, Welcome to the group. I can't say that I don't like food. I really love to eat and snack all the time. I love to cook when I have the time. I have a sister that is a diabetic educator. If you end up getting that diagnosis, you are supposed to count carbohydrates. This usually means no more than 30 to 45 grams per meal. So, total of 134 grams per day and that would be split up in snacks too. A piece of bread has 15 grams of carbs. Some yogurts are up to 20 grams. Milk is h...

Nast, how are you doing lately? Are you still not so good? I really hope that you get a good doctors care soon and feeling better. I think doctors everywhere do not recognize a diagnosis for sometime until there is good research stating that adrenal fatigue and hypoglycemia are true. There has been a lot of research on these, so not sure what the problem is. Sometimes, I have to take an article to my doctor and asked him to read it....

Hi, thanks dear. I suffer from it from a long time, since 2007... it began to develop rapidly from 2006, before it was slowly and I was feeling normal! I do not want to take steroids, hydrocortison, I think this would be for the rest of my life, and it sounds bad..
Really do not want to be depended on hormones stuff. I don't like to eat pills, and since I'm lactating I should not take medicine whyle I feed the baby. Ohhhhhh, that's so bad.
I was really ok when I was pregnant after second half...

So sorry that you are not getting any better Nast. I feel better than I have in a couple years. But, I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue and foods affect those conditions too. I finally decided to cut all the foods that give me pain and irritable bowel issues and I am amazed how foods can affect your life. It seems that each person needs to find what foods fit in their own blueprint and I finally have done that to some degree. Who knows, my body could change in the next few years and I ...

Hi Nast

My sister eat much more during her pregnancy and nursing, she said she feel hungry more often but she don't have hypo, and she don’t have adr fatigue. But she takes several vitamins..I can't remember.

I don't know so much about pregnancy and nursing. So I don't have input on that relating to hypoglycemia. But I know body need more energy during pregnancy and nursing, which means it need enough food, sufficient vitamins, etc.

Since you have adr fatigue, the stress from copin...

I sleep great after exercising and I know it lowers my blood sugar. Low blood sugar for me equals, lots of sleep, but also not refreshing sleep. I will still feel tired.

I have MS which compounds things.

I drink milk right after exercising as it is a quick build, but also has protein. Depending on how much I ate before exercising, I might eat afterwards too....depending on how I feel....

I am an extreme hypoglycemic (unaware and very low numbers, never going above 110 even after eating.) I also have MS and OCD/anxiety.

The low blood sugars can cause very bad anxiety. That is one of my main triggers for OCD.

I have stabilized a lot. But is has been hard. Still not perfect, but better.

Do you eat sugar or drink caffeine? Reason I am asking, is because I have to stay away from those at all costs. I don't have a lot of food choices. But, what I eat I like. Good ...

Great advice Taraj77! You may be very sensitive to sugar. But, really you need to see the neurologist first and take care of the seizures. I am surprised that they continued the test. A first time seizure is a big deal. You need a thorough evaluation such as an EEG, blood work, possible brain scans, etc. But, while you are doing that, look at your diet and cut out all sugars. Start eating whole grains, etc. Read about a hypoglycemic diet and see if you feel better eating that way. Let u...

I am a severe hypo, and the only thing that helps me is avoiding all sugar and anything that will process fast. I eat low glycemic foods and am doing well.

At first, I ate all day long and couldn't get my nubmer above 70. It was so frustrating, but as long as you ingest the fast sugars you will push your sugar level (number) down.

The bottom line you have to stop the roller coaster. Low glycemic will do this.......
