Hi everyone,

I have no idea how long I've had HPV. I was raped when I 18 but didn't start having sex with any regular consistency for another couple of years, so I never got the pap smears. I got my first pap when I was 25 My very first one was abnormal, and 6 months later I had a colposcopy. I had HPV. My doctor told me it would go away on it's own and I didn't have to worry about anything. It was common I shouldn't worry, and sent me on my way. I went through some other horrible horrible stuff and didn't get another pap smear for about 2 years. and you guessed it abnormal with HPV. Another colposcopy. I go back for my 6 month check up in a couple of weeks and am dreading it. I live with the love of my life who held my hand through both colposcopies and has been just the most wonderful supportive person I could ever imagine. But I'm still scared and still feel alone.
