Why wear a ribbon?

MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

If there is no HPV test for men then the only way HPV is diagnosed for a man is by having genital warts

Do doctors have a duty of reporting STD's?

I'm an Advocate

The urge their patients to tell their partners.
If I sound like an expert, I'm not. I'm a psychology major with an interest in nutrition; so any advice I give is not as a doctor, a psychologist, or a nutritionist.

Do you mean men find out they have HPV through their partner?S

The other question was do doctors have a duty to report STD's to the CDC or some other organization?

I think what she mean Pink 14, that the parents of the HPV positive male should tell the parents of the girl he is dating or having sex with. Its about education about HPV and using safe sex techniques here.

First HPV may not show up for YEARS... which sex partner had it and where did they get it from? This is not like AIDs where the last sex partner could be most suspect.

The answer to your second question is NO doctors have a strict privacy act they must follow. The only person(s) they can share information with is the patients gaurdians / parents or the person given by the patient records can be released to. Of course, this only happens if the patients actually gives the phyician verbal permission and signs a waiver.

The only time the CDC (Center of Disease Control) come to play here is if the doctor discovers a contagious disease that the patient themselves can not control (airborne or simply phyical contact)that is life threatening... such as H1N1, the Plaque, Small Pox, and etc.
