 When I was 14, I went to a karate course for a few months. Our sen-sei used to tell us that the center of all human energy is just below the belly-button, and it's called CHI. Back then I used to believe in all this stuff and did lots of exercises to tonify my abdoment, hence my CHI, and be powerful, healthy and full of energy.

Is there any truth in that, or it was some energetic mumbo-jumbo meant to keep us under control?
