My son has CIPO. For those of you who are unfamiliar, it is the upper motility disorder. Yes, hardly anyone it seems has the upper motility disorder. My son has had serious medical problems for many years. He has been too sick to attend school for the last seven years. He experiences extreme nausea and vomitting almost all the time. Needless to say, his quality of life is very poor. We are hoping to go to the University of Kansas soon to see a doctor who will evaluate him and hopefully put a gastric pacemaker in his stomach. Just wondering if anyone in the group has had the procedure and what their experience with it has been. Any help or information would be appreciated. There is no CIPO group to ask. Seems almost nobody has this disorder. Thanks a heap. Maggie  |
