MDJunction to me

MissNikkiAnn"When you have an illness with the name "Non-Familial Dysautonomia" (a name that most people, and even doctors, have never heard of), you need a network
of people who understand the name and the symptoms/issues that come with it.
MDJunction led me to that network of people during a very confusing and sickly time. For this I am thankful. And for this reason I try my best to give back to other members the same care and help that I received through MDJunction.

I have had High blood pressure since I was 16 yrs old, possibly sooner but doctor diagnosed it at that age. I remember being upset when he told me I would have to take the meds for the rest of my life. They say to control your anger, and stress, and anxiety when you have high blood pressure, but that is so much more easier said then done. I have anxiety problems, and stress seems to follow me. I know I need to control it but sometimes it does not seem like an option. I have other health problems on top of this that does not help, and every once in a while I will go into deep thoughts and realize I really need to get my act together or I could have an early death, or even a stroke. I am not too worried at this point in time but occasionally it will cross my mind on the risk I take everytime I let stress take over..

Does anyone have any advice besides relax and keep taking your meds?
