What home remedies have you used that helped you significantly?

Maybe something the doctor prescribed, something found in the natural food store? Just share your stories with us....

So far I have not found one thing that helped me, but rather how all had a hand in allowing for more mobility.

Keeping the following under control was the key for me:

- inflammation (not easy to do as I am allergic to what any doctor can prescribe as anti-inflammatories...same

allergic reaction as those who are allergic to peanuts! )

- stress

- controling hormonal, sugar and fat levels.

things that did aid me that can be found in the health store:

turmeric in pill form - key to keep the hs tracks less inflammed. Even at that womanly time each month.

Zinc 60mg - adding it to my regular vitamin intake

found in my home:

aloe plant...any internet search or library search will show you how many cultures in different countries relied on this plant. Great plant relied on to externally relieve skin disorders. It soothes the skin for burns etc.

Not a problem SKing.

How do you tackle the inflammation issue?

Hi Sking & Carmen,

Yes to your question about inflammation both puffy and hot.

I decided to look it up on the net. Here is one of several links I found.

Carmen for the ones that get big..try laying an old towel/t-shirt over it and applying ice in the surrounding area. This will help numb the area along with bring down any swelling that accompanies the golf ball. Ouchie..we all know that golf ball too well.

Under medicine forum here..I put ice in the post.

At first try 5 mins on (on the area) with the ice. Then take it off for 5 mins.

Total time on..20 mins.

Then give the carrot poultice a try. The ice could help to numb the sensitive HS area, allowing for the poultice treatments.

May you feel better soon.
