hahah, yes Karen I thought about that even as a kid. Congrats Candace on the baby and yes we r for sure suffering in the heat together. I think we have an all natural food store about 30mn from me so I will check that out bc no pharmacy had it either. Lucky for me tho, hand sanitizer took care of the one trieng to pop up on my thigh from my maternity shorts Smile I do have more ?'s tho for those who have had children with this, does breast feeding set it off? I am truly lost on how bad this can get, I seen pics of peoples bottoms after surgery and breast and scares me to death!! I really should not have looked.

I am due 11-11 lol but she will not come out that day, I have scheduled csections and that is on a Sunday so they won't do it. Gotta love the bible belt Smile And I love the name Corina, very adorable and classic. Ours will be Regan Olivia, not uncommon but think the first name is strong and the middle is girly to even it out. Did have Elleigh Kaye picked but realized it was like Elli May from the series Beverly hillbillies and that would not be good since we live in ky Smile Well it's now 3 30 am and Im actually tired, crazy how she has me all thrown off schedule. Wait intell she gets here, Im prepared for night feedings Smile

If anyone is interested, I get my tto from a company called Melaleuca, along with other awsome products. I have been a member since 1989, long before I ever knew about HS. I can vouch for this company it is not a scan and has awsome products and customer service. the website is http://www.melaleuca.com/ If anyone wants to become a member, it doesn't cost much but you have to order every month. I have never had a problem with that since 1989 and now they have so many products that its easy to order and I get member discounts and specials. The company is based arround the tto plant called "melaleuca alternafolia" which is where they get tto.

Haley, dont be scared,, ok? The pics like that are extreme cases and most surgery isn't that bad. Hayley- so how is your HS while you are currently pregnant? In answer to your question about HS & nursing... well no one really knows for sure. I noticed that my HS went insane when I first conceived (I had an alien on my bum that turned into cellulitis immediately!) but then my HS became really mild during the later part of first trimester & well into my second trimester, which is great because I was dealing with the horrible pregnancy symptoms like really bad morning sickness 24 hours a day etc. So I could not deal with the pregnancy symptoms & new HS flare-up's at the same time. Now that I am in my 3rd trimester, I am having new aliens appear again on both sides in the groin, but I am not sure if I should blame the hormones, the heat & humidity here in Oklahoma or the stress I am enduring with preparing for the baby to come... or perhaps a combination of all 3? Researchers/physicians believe there is a link between hormones & HS flare-up's but they have yet to prove it. I can attest to that because most women, incuding myself, would notice a new flare-up right before menstration each month (like we didn't have enough problems with menstrating alone!) But, I also know that my biggest trigger's for a new alien are stress, heat & humidity.

Anyway, I am also planning to nurse so I will keep in touch & let you know if I notice any coorelation between the two. Wouldn't it be fantastic if breastfeeding lessened our flare-ups? Tongue

Also, I love the name Regan Olivia! Hooray for baby girls! <3 Candace

My HS is not so bad as of right now, I do keep one on my thigh, which keeps trieng to turn into an ugly one but falls short, like swollen and purple but nothing else, well pain but that is a given. I did have one pop up under my breast in the first month, which I had never had one there before. And of course the one on my bottom, but they are really mellow considering what it's usually like. And like you Im sure the heat does not help. I really would like to nurse her but my husband and I agree bottle is better, incase I need meds to treat these crazy things and Im on sythroid for my thyroid so I don't think a daily dose of that hormone is good for her either, even tho I have to take it while pregnant. It was a happy thought tho Smile Other then the annoying fear that HS is going to take over my body Im pretty happy and doing ok with it, for now. And it would be great if nursing helped, maybe it will for you Smile

Hayley- I understand your reasoning for botte-feeding and I think it's great to take future preventative measures. I have not been on any meds for my HS in so long, so I am not worried about that aspect. I am just worried about new flare-up's after delivery due to the shift/change in hormones & how physically difficult it will be to try to nurse while sitting extremely uncomfortably in pain. But, I am going to suffer through it & put on my big girl pants! Wink <3 Candace
