 I recently had a really good friend try heroin for the first time a few days ago. And now, he has done it every day since, despite harsh objections from me. I've told him how addictive the drug is for his already addictive personality and he always says "this is the last time" which, I'm not stupid, I know its not his last time. So basically I am looking for any and all advice on how stop him before he really becomes dependent on it. Please reply.

 I, too, have a really close friend who is using heroin living with me. I don't have the answer you are looking for. All you can do is keep telling him how much you care for him, that you will always be there for him and you want to help him stop. You can't make him want to stop. He has to want it for himself. Just keep telling him these things and hopefully he will come to you for help. If he doesn't come to you for help then I don't think there's anything you can do other than physically take him to a rehab center. Maybe you could talk to his family about this. I'm sorry. I wish I could give you the answers you are looking for. I'm searching for the same answers.
