Today has been day 3 that my boyfriend has went missing and I don't know what to do anymore. As I have said before he went to detox and rehab. Although he said he would go he planned with another kid at the treatment center to run away which no one knew about. On saturday he tested positive for OCs and after that he ran off with this other kid. The worst part about it is I talk to him that day through text messages about his bills and where some of his items went. During that time I did not know he was on the run. This has been such a hard journey in such a short period of time and right now I don't know what to do anymore. I am worried about where he is and what he is doing and how he is surviving with no money, no license, and hardly any clothes. Honestly how can anyone sleep and move on each day with knowing this is going on. Today was my first day of my senior year in college and I did go to every class but I honestly don't think I actually listening to much going on in the classroom. Has anyone been in my shoes before or have anything you can tell me to help me through my days....?

Valerie

Hey Val,

Sorry that you are going through this..... I cant say that I have been there exactly but I can kind of relate...

The bottom line is, he will not quit using until he is ready to quit. Although you care about him, you have your own life to make your priority. You are a senior in college...and I am sure you have worked very hard to get to that point. Dont blow it by getting all wrapped up in his well being. It is so hard, I know, because you care about him, but there is really nothing more you can do until he wants to be helped. Take care of yourself, focus your efforts on your education. Dont let your life get dragged down with this mess....

Hey Val, I have been through this with someone and it is a scary feeling. Are the police looking for him? This crap messes everyone up. It sounds like he is going to hitting rock bottom and then he may change. I hope.
