Hi all, Hope all are healthy and well.I am adjusting to the HCV treatments, and have shot 4 in the books.I don't know if the side effects are lessening, or if I am just getting better at tolerateing them. Migranes seem to be the toughest part, never know when a "doozy" will strike. I recieved a call from Infectious disease Md yesterday with the results of my latest blood labs.My liver functions are all in the normal range, for that matter everything was right down the middle of normal range. Viral Load after three weeks treatment was Undetectable(I had a low viral load to start with 20,800). I have genotype 1a so I still have 44 more shots, but the early results sure are promising, and the knowledge that the treatment is working only steels my resolve to "Slay the Dragon". I know these results are not typical, and am very thankful, my Md and I think that many factors are contributing to the results: Early Dx, as with any health problem, treatment in the early stages is usually more effective. Diet, exercise, getting plenty of rest, positive mental attitude, compliance to treatment plan, avoidance of chemicals,no smoking, drinking, or drugging. Taking the most current treatment available. These results are not just the result of blind luck, I have worked very hard to do all the things I could to improve my situation, and you have the same opportunity to "Take the bull by the horns", you may not get the same results, but I'm sure that with some perseverance you can improve your life.
