i have chronic hepatitis c-i was infected by rapist and an ex.i am alone and scared .i have no family-what are the symptoms while the liveer levels are high.i am ill everyday and onthe per-intron i am crying the doctors here are uncompassionate and i have no one-i ran for my life to here where my family lives and since my father abused me he changed his # and he said God told him i wasnt his child i dont know how to deal,.with no friends -it makes living with this disease and being ill and alone makes it hard to want to live

Hi kathyt0627,

Hang in there kiddo, it will be all right. Remember one thing, it's the Peg-Intron causing your depression. You need to get to your doctor and insist they do something about it. They can give you antidepressents to make you feel better (and it will take a couple of weeks for these to work so hurry to the doctors if you can).

As far as your family goes, well, hon, if they are not good enough people to accept and help you as you are, then please don't call them family. They don't deserve the term, sperm donor is a better phrase.

Your father doesn't sound like a good man at all, and you need to realize that. It's not you, IT'S HIM. With family like that you are better off alone.

You can learn from their bad mistakes and once you are better you can build a life (and a new family!) for yourself. One that will be better, happier, and not abused. But it's up to you, so pull yourself together and get some doctors and counselors on your side! You can do this!

Hi kathyt0627, hang in there....my boyfriend has been battling hep c for 3 yrs and hes been on treatment for over a yr now.....his viral load is down to zero now but he still has to stay on treatment for a long while......you do need to get to a dr and get on some meds to help with the depression....u also need to get some rest and stay away from anyone that doesn't want to support you through this...you can do this and things will get better just don't give up
