Dr called with my lab work. RIght now I am on Peg Intron and Riba..and then I was starting Victrelis a month after I started the 1st two. Anyway...my Dr just called and advised me my viral load is undectable right now. but my white blood count is extremely low and need to keep monitored. Hope this works!!! My Dr also advised me that it was a rapid response since I was only on the two drugs for a month and just started the victrelis. EEKK. i am still so nervous!

Thanks

It actually for me ha not been so bad at all. Not sick. The 1st injection was the worst and now I don't even really get a fever. Im jut uually so tired I don't want to get up but once I do and start moving I am usually okay.

You are one of the lucky ones. I have heard of folks who have litle to no sides. I really didnt have any sides either, wnt to work evry day. Just weak and tired and numb legs. But my blood counts told a whole other story and I was pulled. Begged and cried to stay on course or lower the dose. He said no its all or nothing and your counts say its no more tx with the current meds.

They are keeping me closely monitored on my WBC so we will see. Hopefully I wont get pulled. He already lowered my interfon dose. I asked him what I could do to get my count back up and he said there was a treatment that chemo patients use but we wouldnt put me on it. so closely monitoring for now and I am trying to do everything I can naturally to help as well. So we will see. Smile hope i can stay on it til end of treatment if not. I hope I dont relapse. I was so happy to hear the news last night. and my dr was pretty much "why would I lie to you" I just couldnt believe I was undectable. I also work everyday. The worst side effect is the tiredness but I can work through that. And the 1st night after my injection was a fever and chills but only lasted for about 3 hours. Thanks I hope I am a lucky one.

Hey Laura,

C O N G R A T U L A T I O N S!!!!!!!

The UND is wonderful news for you and so quickly on just the 2 drugs!

I have to say I’m a little concerned they reduced the interferon so quickly. What is your dose now after reduction? I’m wondering if they got scared with the WBC count and did it for that reason.

Can you tell us what your white blood count is?

I’m glad they’re just watching that for now.

If everything falls in line after a bit, you could ask them to raise the interferon back up.

I’m hearing that song by Queen, “another one bites the dust.” Laughing

I LOVE THAT SONG! But I am already borderline anemic before medication and the Dr just wants to watch my white blood count. He didnt tell me exactly what my count was but i got a call from him yesterday that my white blood count was going back up. So he dialed down my does from .5 to .25. Thanks for the concern.
