Has anyone had kidney pain when you don't drink enough water during treatment? I have felt this a few times since Christmas night. I don't know if it's my old lumbar surgery acting up or if I have been slacking on the water a couple of days. I have never had kidney problems and my urine is not dark. Kas

Yes I did but trust me I only needed to do that once. paid for it for a whole week, didnt drink enough the day of my shot

Also have a friend whos kidneys failed because he just wouldnt drink his water

(he didnt even work so he had no excuse not to dink his water)

he was in really bad shape for sometime after that and was pulled from tx.

It is no joke when I say water water water and more water.

I was worried when you said you had to wait 6hrs to go to the bathroom so you werent getting your water in.

Sometimes you cant tell folks, Sometimes folks have to find out for them selfs.

Were your kidneys still functioning, urine light yellow? I have stepped up the water, it seems a bit better. Thanks kas.

One of the reasons eif stresses water, water, more water is that interferon and ribavarin are largely cleared through the kidneys. They tend to accumulate in the presence of kidney dysfunction. You must drink lots of water to help the kidneys flush these toxins out. Just remember Kidney disease is NOT REVERSIBLE. You're just asking for trouble if you don't get that water in.

Yeah my kidneys were fine they just hurt real bad that one weekend after my shot because I didnt take the time to drink my water the day of my shot or the day after. It is very important to drink alot all the time but I found it was extremly important the day of and day after my shot. I did mine on thursday nights and mostly had no sides other than being weak, tired and numb legs.

But the Friday after my shot on thursday night I hurt so bad I cried all the way to work. We had a girl out of the office or I would have called (the one and only time I felt I couldnt make it) any way I hurt so bad in my back, my legs hell just every wear, learned my lesson thats for sure. I didnt care how busy we were I was going to kill an 8oz glass of water every hour.
