MDJunction to me

mabri"When I was diagnosed about 18 months ago with fibromyalgia, I didn't know where to turn. I got on my computer and looked for a support group where I could talk to other people with the same disease and get some help...Information, suggestions, mostly just what I can do now that I have this.....disorder/disease/syndrome...I didn't even know what to call it. I found MDJ, and yes, there was a support group for fibro. I started a post, and figured I would never get an answer. However, very quickly I was welcomed in, and became really involved in the group. I received help, support, friendship and the feeling of being truly cared about by these strangers who had become like family to me. Now, I have been here for about a year and a half...I have become a group leader, and love every minute of it. It is so wonderful to be able to help others. I still receive help and answers from the members in this group. The fibromyalgia is where I go to help, support, listen, care and even laugh. I don't know what I would do without this group." Welcome glad your here. The best way I have found to educate myself is by listening to others. There is an article from a guy that was on here a long time ago and I found it to be the best I have read I will see if I can find it

have they told you your viral load, what type, ant talk of biopsy? my doc was ahead of the game and sais Ireally didnt need biopsy he dose a fibrosure test Which there is data coming out about how accurate they really are if I find the article I will send it to you as well. YOur best bet is to educate yourself dont rely on the doctors to tell you everything cause alot of them just dont know. You know that old saying been there done that. Well they havent so they dont know and not all of them understand. Make sure to keep copies of all your blood work and keep a list of questions so you are in control of your care.

You need to remind them that alot of folks get it from the HOSPITAL just like staph and mrsa. Example...Darla from the little rascals... maybe before your time...got hep c from a surgery and never recovered. The milatary used airguns to give shots to adults as well as childern with the same airgun... lined up and given shots without cleaning in between. tatoos alot of artist used to use the same ink person to person...pericings ....basic blood to blood... tooth brushes..razors.

It kills me that they are so ignorant!!! A dentist that I had gone to for 20+ yrs and hygenist fliped out when I told them and made me feel like crap so I left and never went back. Huummm how good does your dentist clean his equipment between patients.

So I changed dentist and chose not to tell them but I do ask them before they touch me how well they clean. Figure I am putting a bug up their butt anyway.

Clinic or not there is a hepa privacy act intact. Oh that makes me so mad!!!! Guess I better get off my box or I wont sleep tonight.

Oh yeah very slim to none on getting it through sex or mother to child. It can happen and does but rare. If sex is rough and draws blood good possibilty. None of my childeren have it.

I think I have always had it they used to call it mono because they couldnt figure out what was the matter with me I am talking in my early teens, then subsided and rared its head again im my mid 20's I was in the hospital for 2 wks still I didnt get it didnt know, and then fine up until about 3 yrs ago. Now it is very active.

Next time they start in you need to straighten out and then ask them if they have ever been tested, it could be sleeping and they not know it. I think it should be part of the blood panel.
