Does anyone know why the viral load keeps going up. I was 800000 before I started tx. stopped the tx because of anemia. viral load went up to over 900000 and now my las test a few weeks ago 1.5 mil what does that mean?

I really cant answer it other than I have heard it mutates. Mine was 1.8 mil when starting treatment dropped to 37,000 but when treatment was stopped due to low blood counts it went to 2.8 mil

Yes it does mutate. Some Hep. C patients once taken off TX, can be given matienance meds. This way the viral load, stays down. Viral load will jump dramtically once TX is stoped.
I live with Hep. C, I am not Hep. C. I do not let my disease rule my life.
