My teeth are rotting. and I several have broken. What can I do? I used to drink lots of Coca cola, but never now, I dont eat sugar, and I brush my teeth twice a day. I eat lots of veggies and drink milk. What else is there.....

If anyone has ideas please let me know.

Hey there, Jack.

Even though you say you drink milk, your calcium levels may be insufficient. Did you recently take any routine blood tests?

Fluoride applications or using fluoride-enriched oral hygiene products may also help you.

It's also very important to get professional tooth scaling regularly (it's usually recommended to have one every six month) - brushing them yourself is very important, but not enough. Tartar and bacterial plaque are the main responsible for tooth decay, in the long run.

For a more detailed discussion, and for tips on how to take better care of your teeth and gums, you can go to http://health.howstuffworks.com/home-remedies-for-tartar- and-plaque.htm

Also of great importance: your toothbrush. It should be adequate (you may want to consult with an oral hygiene professional when choosing one, and you should take your dentition and gum particularities into consideration) and changed every three-four months (unless you have an electric one, and its instructions state otherwise; or unless you have some gum disease, case in which you should change your brush more often, once every six-four weeks). Flossing and cleaning your tongue should also be part of your daily routine.

You can learn more on how to brush your teeth correctly here: http://www.healthatoz.com/healthatoz/Atoz/common/standard/ transform.jsp?requestURI=/healthatoz/Atoz/dc/caz/enth/peri/ brush.jsp

Lots of luck, and no cavities!
