Hello, Jimmycrackcorn! As funny as it may sound, yes, you are growing breasts. This is perfectly normal - look at your dad, for example. Is his chest flat like yours? I bet it isn't... Men do have mammary glands too, but they're rudimentary and underdeveloped. Nevertheless, this is the age when you grow them, and don't worry, they will stop growing just at the right size, so you will have a normally developed male chest shortly. It may even hurt when you press on them - this is normal as they're developing, so don't spook. There are some pathological cases in which men have abnormally developped mammary glands, so they appear to have big breasts, but that's rare and I really hope and think this is not the case with you. You're now at the age of big changes throughout your body, so most likely everything you experience now is physiological and natural. Of course, whenever you're unsure of are worried about something, it's better to ask around, ask an adult, a nurse, a teacher or a doctor. Enjoy your teenage years, they're the best! |
