Hello, Stina. First of all, yes, I think you should take this seriously. Second, I don't think your doctor should have put you on birth control after only 3 irregular periods, but that's his choice and I suppose he had his reasons. Third: did you have any periods while on birth control? Fourth, it may take a while for your body to adjust and you having normal periods. As about the kids, of course there's a big chance for your fertility not to be affected, but first your amenorrhea (lack of menstruation) has to be assessed and its causes identified correctly. It most likely was a hormonal imbalance, but what is the exact diagnosis? Did your doc give you any tests (blood tests), did he give you a complete physical, did you have a complete gynecological checkup? |
