Hello again,

The last couple of weeks I spent a lot of time on my computer.

For the past four days my wrist hurts badly, it feels cold all the time and I get a numb feeling when trying to lift my hand up.

Can it be carpal tunnel ? what should I do?

Thanks you,

Eden

Hi Eden,

I work on a laptop, without a mouse, and recently experienced a lot of pain in my right wrist that I, too, attributed to carpal tunnel. For some reason I had what's called a Futuro Deluxe Wrist Stabilizer in my closet. It's a really easy splint-like support that easily comes on and off. I wore it for a full day and didn't use my computer. Next day, my wrist was just so much better. I used a fare amount of pressure by tightening the 3 velcro straps pretty tight -- not uncomfortably so, though. Maybe your bout with ct is not so severe to require anything else either. Hope so. I'll still put it on every few days when I feel my wrist weakening again. How would I function without being able to use my computer!??!! You're probably in the same predicament.

I probably just bought this Wrist Stabillizer at a local drug store. I honestly don't remember ever buying it, though. Good luck and good health, Brenda

Hi Brenda,

It's been a couple of months since I wrote this and the truth is, my wrist is much better. I took my dr's advice who suggested to try and give it some rest for a while...which actually worked...I still worked on my computer but much much less (couldn't give it up altogether ).

thanks for the tip though, how's the wrist stabilizer been working for you? I guess it would helped me back then.

Eden
