"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunny_fly)

Goodday

Im really happy to have found this forum as Im in desperate need of advice.

About 2 months ago I was in a robbery then a week later I was thrown off a horse and hit my head really badly then a week after that I was in a bad car accident.

Since the car accident I have been experiencing head aches and dizziness and panic attacks. I have seen a local doctor and he has put it down to post traumatic stress. He put me on meds that made me feel terrible so have taken myself off. I still suffer from these attacks every now and again which are led by pressure feelin in my head and very bad dizziness. Seing as I have a wedding coming up in 2 weeks I would love to get a second opinion on whats going on with me. I had a cat scan done the day I fell off the horse and had concusion and it was clear. I would just like to be 100% sure that it is the PTSD causing this dizziness and lack of concerntration.

Please help

Hi, Trisha... wow, what an amazing string of bad luck...

You know, they say that one evil never comes alone. It happened to me also, many times, to start a chain of bad events (usually from the same category, like car accidents, or having my car broken into) that never seemed to end.

You say you had a CT scan after you fell off the hourse. How about after the car accident? Did you hit your head also then? Were you hurt?

It's better to repeat the CT scans anyway a few weeks or months after the concussion, since lesions can develop that are not detectable in the first hours. Especially since you've had the accident after, I think it's highly recommended to repeat the CT.

The PTSD can cause this kind of symtomps, but, with your history of traumatism, you really have to rule out any organic cause.

And... is that your wedding or just "a wedding", like you said?
