About 3 weeks ago i went to the doctor to get a checkup on what i thought was heart problems.

I started having bad pains in my chest, but just the left side where my heart is.

so to make a long story short, the doctor listened to my heart and did an EKG, said i had a textbook perfect reading. and didnt hear anything in my chest. doctor came to the conclusion that i drink to much caffiene products. i was drinking 6 or 7 cans of Mountain dew a day, and some energy mints. well i threw out the mints and now drink cokes, only 1 or 2 aday. and its been about 3 weeks of switching to less caffeine and my chest pains are still here.

I was reading webMD and went through there symptoms checklist, and i figured out, that i dont have these chest pains in the morning, but as the day wears on if i wake up at about 7am ill start feeling pains at about 9 or 10am.

I dont have insurance and i dont know what to do. im only 23 and my family doesnt have a history of heart problems.

I dont exercise as much as i should and i dont exactly always eat healthy. but i have severly reduced my caffiene intake. but my chest pains just wont go away. im not sure whatelse to do except go back to the doctor?

Since this occured ive had an Irregular heart beat, itll throw in an extra beat every now and then. While the doctor said that its normal, i deffinatly did not have an irregular beat before i started having these pains.

Hi, Iamshaked. I really don't think it's the case to worry. If you haven't suffered from any heart conditions so far, as a child, it's very unlikely you'd develop a sudden heart condition at such a young age. Moreover, since you have been seen and checked by a doctor, and he found nothing wrong with you, it's more than extremely likely that nothing is, indeed, wrong with you.

Anxiety, stress lack of sleep, low calcium/magnesium, caffeine and cigarettes, all these can give you temporary discomfort, that you may interpret as heart problems. Especially since it's not long since you're off the caffeine products, your body is not yet totally "detoxified".

I personally wouldn't worry AT ALL.
