I am off of work to see how my medicines work. I won't go back until after May 9th. I called the my job and they still haven't got my opened claim. And I haven't got approved yet. I called the Workability line. They haven't approved it yet. They will make a decision on May the 2nd. It is getting to be such a hassle. People at my job have trouble getting off for anything Asthma, or any type of surgery. It is really bad that a company like that will treat the employees like that. I just let myself get upset and cried. I'm feeling a little bit better.

There is an act called the FMLA (family medical leave act) that allows people to take time off for family issues....also the ADA (americans with disabilities act)....that prevents employers from firing those with disabilities... Perhaps someone at your company ought to remind the supervisor/manager of the legal rights of the employees!

So please try not to get upset....you have the right to take time off to get well....find a good book, that can often take your mind off of everything (even if you are not typically a reader)---

I know that's not the *solution*....but just something minor I'm mentioning to help cope a little.

It always helps me....I'm not bi-polar....but I get down at times about just my illness in general and not being up to doing what I need to do....want to do.... and wonder how I will even have the *energy/stamina* to work once I'm ready (post bar exam)...! But...I have to have faith...

I'm not as upset as I was. I went over to mom's and visited with her for awhile. When I posted, I was very upset. I know that it will work out. I have been there for 28 years. With getting off of alcohol and drugs, being diagnosed as being BiPolar/Manic Depressive in 1997. They have a record of every time I have been off because of it.
