WHAT IS X-SPOT SPINAL SURGERY AND WHAT'S INVOLVED FOR AN ELDERLT FEMALE WITH GENERALIZED SPINAL STENOSIS.

sHE'S BEEN IN WORSENING PAIN AND INCREASING DISABILITY OVER THE PAST FEW YRS. HAS HAD MULTIPLE INJECTIONS WITH VERY MIN. RELIEF.

WHY ARE ORTHOPODS SO RELUCTANT TO PROVIDE PAIN RELIEF IN THE FORM OF DURAGESIC PATCHES,OR ANY OTHER MEDICATIONS (STRONGER THAN DARVON OR IBUPROFEN), IMPLANTED PAIN PUMPS OR NEUROSTIMULATORS, IMPLANTED OR EXTERNAL SUCH AS TENS

I HOPE YOU CAN ANSWER SOME OF MY QUESTIONS ASAP.

THANK YOU

hello everyone, i am new to this forum. i have had several lower back and arm surgeries over the last couple yrs,the last, two weeks ago to stop atrify of left hand, nerve transposition done. ( second time ). i have a great pain mgt. doctor. all of my surgions and painmgt doctors are in the same place in shreveport,La. i use a duregesic patch 100mcg. fentanyl and 30mg. morphine ER tablet for break thru. it is working for me after all the other wrong med combinations. my new dr. stopped about half the med,s i was on my first visit with him and explained why they didnt give me lasting relief. yes he talked with me not at me, im sure you know what i mean. i will see him in two days to adjust morphine ER. tablets for break-thru. but patch is working well. please dont give up till you find a pain mgt. doctor that doesnt have hang up,s about different drugs to control chronic pain. got to go, i cant sit in chair very long . love all ricky
