MDJunction to me

"All I can say is that this has been the best place ever. It has been six to seven months since I joined, and I have learned so much. I now believe in myself and accept myself on a completely different level. The people on MDJunction has been so supportive and accepting that I have been able to adopt it into my personal life. That has reduced a lot of stress in my life. Thanks to all." (bunny_fly)

Hi,

I am a recovering alky, and have five years of clean and sober tme from both, drugs, and alcahol.

How, I got sober was not easy, but, it is rewarding.

I had been tryinng to get sober for a long time. I tried treatment , 12 step meetings, and could not stay sober. I guess it hadn't gotten bad enough for me to hit a bad enough bottom.

Five years ago, It finally got so bad I got arrested. I had given my kids away, I was unemployable, and was living a horrible life surrounded by people who used and abused drugs, and alcahol just as I have.

I guess I finally had enough, and was finally insane enough, that god had to intervene. I finally was willing to do anything to get clean. I had toadmit, I had a problem, first, and ask for help.

There is a lot of help out there if one wants to get help, and is willing to try it. There are treatment programs, and AA meeting, and NA MEETINGS.I don't know where you live, but, there might be a detox center, where you can stay until you get over the withdrawel simptoms from the drug you took.

I had to go through detox in jail, and then go through treatment after that. I then went to meetings, and worked the 12 steps with a sponsor, and have been doing all this for 5 years. It has worked for me and lots of others, I know. I couldn't do it by myself. I had to have lots of support.

So, that's how you get clean. Take the first step, and it will lead to the rest of it. Get a phone book, and look up addiction recovery. Or go online to Alcaholics Anonymous, ot Narcotics Anonymous, whichever you prefer.

I hope you are able to find a solution to you situation. You don't have to live that way anymore if you don't want to.

Godbless, Gypsy
