Has anyone here used Proactiv? What is the cost compared to going to a dermatologist?

My daughter is 15 and has acne on her face, neck, back and chest. I haven't taken her to a dermatologist because through the experience of a friend of ours, the medications are dangerous and very drying. The problem with that is my daughter can't stand having a dry face (which adds to the problem).

Proactiv is all over TV and she sees it. She likes the "fake" Proactiv I've purchased, but it doesn't work great - not like they say the REAL stuff works. So I wondered if any of you have tried it and what you think about it.

Thanks!

Lori

Finding a quick cure to my acne would be great, I've always wanted to try this.
