Hi,

I am new to the group and this is my first post. I am a 31 year old African-American male who has lived with one-sided Gynecomastia for a good part of my life. I was first diagnosed at the age of 14. After noticing an assymetry in my chest for about a year, I was taken to the doctor. I was told initially that the size should go down after puberty--but it never did. In visits that followed my hormone levels were checked, a biopsy was performed and everything checked out normal. It was finally determined that plastic surgery would be needed to remove the excess tissue. For a long time I thought I was alone, until I found online resources such as this one. However, I have not seen many other cases where it affects only one side of the chest. Can anyone else relate?
