I was feeling some better last nite, but I'm back feeling like crap (Nuasea, Vommiting etc...) Oh the fun!!! I dont think I've ever mentioned this before, but every GP attack that I've EVER (except once) had were trigered by sleep! My (GI-Doc) seems a little shocked by that fact, does anyone else only have attacks "after" sleep???

Talk to you later...

Ronny

Makes sense, you lie down during sleep so the stomach contents can flow back and cause irritation, and just plain ole slosh around. I can hear my husbands stomach sloshing and can just about tell when he is going to vomit. He does better sleeping in the recliner.

I may try sleeping in a recliner it may help? Even if it's just a little I'll take it!

I try not to eat hours before bed because like Dawnne said, I am pretty sure it slows down my digestion and causes more symptoms. And Dawnne you sound like a lovely person to be so helpful to your husband. A lot of people give up when a partner gets sick.

Any quality sleep I have gotten has been in the recliner. It's not a guarantee, but even with elevating the head on my mattress, the recliner still works better.

All my attacks (except one) were in the morning, but within an hour of eating. I think I've heard it said before that digestion naturally slows down at night, not just sleep, so I guess it makes sense.

Hope everyone is feeling better by now!

That's something I hadn't heard so food for thought. Ty GastroGirl. I do have my worse issues in the morning usually or a few hours after sleep (5am wake-ups..)
