Does anyone here have problems with constipation? The nausea is not so bad its the pain food not digesting like it should causing constipation so ended up in ER twice for that. Was sent home after clean out and 24 hours later after eating in pain again and it has not quit. I just don't know how to help myself and I have other conditions with lots of med allergies so the doctors are kind of at a loss. Any suggestions.Sad

I take Metamucil every night along with 3 tbls of Aloe Vera Gel (sold at CVS/Walgreens. The combination works well for me without cramping. Good luck.

i have used probably every laxitive available with no significant relief. i am on a steady diet of miralax and senokot-s. when its been too long, like over a week, i start using everything and then usually i only go once.

well, i just wanted to let you know that you are not alone. i am desperately hoping that my GI dr will find out why i don't go.

Just wanted to respond with this message about constipation. I have had chronic constipation all my life. I never went to the bathroom without a lot of laxatives, or I didn't go for weeks or a month until I absolutely exploded! This past June, I had a total colectomy for colon inertia. If your rectum works fine, then you do not need a bag. Strongly think about the decision though. However, after my surgery, we found out why the past few years I have felt sick as well because I was finally diagnosed with gastroparesis. But I just wanted to say if you think you truly have a problem, it doesn't hurt to ask a doctor about colon inertia.
