Brain mapping seems to be a favored research topic over the last decade and many TV documentaries show brain scans identifying multicolored areas as being the seat of a variety of information-holding sites.

Scientists have long ago located the seat of smell, sight, verbal communication, and even abstract thinking. Lately they identified a site to inject stem cells to hopefully cure Parkinsons soon.

It is possible to assign color to show when a pornographic picture is resulting in a brain arousal.

What's the deal? Does anyone think it is strange that NO BRAIN SCANS identifying pain receptor's responses are being used to EVIDENCE pain in the human body???? Does it make sense that drug companies would make immense amounts of money selling pain meds WHEN pain can be scientifically proven with brain scans? Why isn't this being done?

Is it possible that Insurance companies have a greater control of our gov't than drug companies? Wouldn't people become more functional & possibly tax-paying citizens again by using effective pain meds??

Just curious if anyone else has ever given this quandry a thought.
