I was looking at this website and thought maybe some in this group would find the information useful. Smile

http://www.vitaminexpress.com/encyclopedia.php/topic/ Gastritis.php

I am taking Gamma Oryzanol (20mg x 3 daily) and making use of the good old Ginger and Raw Carrot (for the VIt A) Decided to try it, anyway. Oh, and I'll start having a little Green Tea each day, too. Still also on Nexium, 20mg 1 x daily.

I have to act as my own doctor, mostly - being in a country that harbours more than its fair share of lazy, greedy, and/or incompetent doctors, I have little choice. Fortunately, Nexium is readily avialable just about anywhere and everywhere, as with most drugs, normally only prescribed in the West.

I'll let you know how the trial with Oryzanol goes. Smile

Regards to all,

Mike

Thanks for that info Mike.

Would be most interested to hear if this helps your gastritis.

You mentioned eating carrot to get Vit A. I read somewhere is better to lightly steam the carrot as easier for body to absorb the Vit A/beta carotene.

Good luck

Hi Mike, Thanks for the information! You're right about having to be your own doctor. There's reallly so little out there on gasritis. My doctor took me off nexium though, since it's mostly for indigestion and he said it would be counterproductive for me. I have auto-immune strophic gasritis. I wish you well and hope you give us an update on how this works for you. Sounds good! What country are you from?
