I went to see my surgeon on Monday and I was coughing. Bad Thing. After all my tests he has requested I see a Pulmonary specialists (I have sleep apnea and COPD). Go to see the Pul Doc today and he wants to run a bunch of tests! I can't win. I go see him again 2 days before surgery. I am so upset and worried. Tomorrow I am to start my week pre-op liquid diet. I almost want to not do it!

Do it!! He's just going to run some tests to make sure you are well taken care of while under anesthesia. Many obese people have sleep apnea and copd, that's one of the many health issues that should go away after the surgery. Stick to your plan, don't worry about the tests--they are in your best interests!! Keep us posted on your date. Smile

I am being operated on Monday. I too have sleep apnea.

It will be ok.. Just make sure you tell them before they put

you to sleep. Take your cpap machine to the hospital for

after surgery. Good luck to you!

Sandi: Glad you were cleared--I thought you would be! Smile

I wasn't very sick the first week, but I was very bloated and gasey. Oh, and I didn' poo very well--constipated but runny. Sad So, just walk around to relieve the gas and hope for the best with the other stuff! You aren't going to be able to eat much, so you won't have anything to keep your poo solid. I posted pics of my first 10 days on my profile. You can see how bloated I was!!

Good luck to all of you and don't forget to check in afterwards!! (((HUGS!)))
