I had the sleeve on Wednesday, 5/23. I kind of relate it to the way I felt after I had c-sections. I had some nausea and just felt rally tired. I left the hospital Thursday night. For me its very unconfortable sitting and sleeping.Good Luck

I am a nurse and I am having the surgery done at the facility where I work so keeping on contact with the surgeron and group is not going to be a problem. I guess I find it harder for me because I have seen so many things throughout my nursing career. I am leaving everything in God's Hand. I know he will be there in the operating suite with me tomorrow. Thanks so much for the advice.

Good Luck I had mine done on 5/23 and I felt the same way. Thr last thing I said to my suregeon was 'I can't wait until you wake me up and tell me everything is fine'. Which he did, and I'm sure the same will be for you. So, I am a week post up and I cannot stand the protein shakes anymore - My Dr.s offices reccomended Isopure and Unjury. I can tolerate the Isopure, but not the Unjury. Let us know how you do when you are released. I only had to stay overnight. Tough sleeping the 1st few nights, tummy sore and tender. Good Luck Tongue

Hi there, it appears we had our surgery on the same day!May 23. I am now down 30 lbs and feel great and can certainly can tell I look thiner. My blood sugar level and blood pressure are both great and without the medications. I will admit on several occasions I have eaten a few things that just did not sit right and I threw the food back up. This has only happened a few times and I think its because I ate to fast, what do you think?

Hi Chris, Wow 30 lbs in a week that is great! I'm down about 11. Need to exercise more, but sometimes with kids is not always possbile. Have to find time for myself. So far no vomiting or dumping. I have just started to eat.. some yogurt and I made some homemade lentil soup yesterday which did not give me any problem. Oh! I had a choclate muscle milk too!Was having some trouble getting the Unjury protein mix in, but I put it in the yogurt and soup and it was fine. I didn't have any medical issues that required medication but had sleep apenea and my knees where starting to give me some trouble. Well, the kids are off to school and I'm going to try and get that walk in!

Congrats to all of you!! Sounds like everyone is doing well after their surgery and just the "normal" side effects of not being able to eat (and being sick of protein shakes). Keep trying to get the protein from food, and you can wean off the shakes.

keep us posted on your progress and welcome to the losers bench!! Smile
