Just to let you all know, I am now a Group Leader on another forum within MD Junction too - the forum deals with Self Esteem and Positive Thinking, people who feel down or depressed or just needing a lift, to feel better about themselves etc.

There is a lot of parallels with the two forums, I know in my case, when I was so overweight, I had no self esteem left and my self confidence had dropped so low, I was scared to go outside most of the time.

I think you would get a lot from it, part of the surgery is the physical weight loss, and the harder part is battling the psychological side of the aftermath of surgery, getting over the mental abuse that many of us suffered being so overweight.
