Hi everyone... I am happy to report that my one month check-up went great. I had a lapband in place for 5 years, but due to complications from radiation treatment, my esophagus and stomach were a mess. My surgeon believed he needed to remove the band, do some revisions to my esophagus, stomach and diaphragm and perform a bypass. After one month, I can say I am adjusting to my new "stomach" and have lost 25 pounds. I feel stronger every day and returned to work (teaching 8th grade US History) last Monday. I want to thank everyone here for their postings. I check in and read all the time...Both old and new posts. I have gained so much helpful information and truly enjoy the obvious friendships that you all share. I look forward to being a part of this wonderful and inspiring group! Thanks again!
