I was informed by my surgeons that our immune system is lower than normal, yes. When I had the flu vaccination last month, I was feeling a little ill for a few days, and it was explained to me that this vaccination lowers your immune system a little, as it's working, and with it being already low, that's why it affected me.

One of the reasons why I take a high dose Vitamin C and Zinc each day is to counteract the lower immune system, and so far, it seems to be helping

As far as I know, it's only initially, over the first 2 years or so, then as your body gets used to the surgery, it starts to build back up to normal.

Yeah, it's ok, anytime. I guess it always varies on person to person, but don't worry, as your body gets used to the surgery, it will get stronger. I am sorry I can't help on your carb question, I personally can hardly eat any carbs since having the surgery, not even any fruit or much salad or anything. Just the way my body has taken it
