i am very happy to finally find a support group designed specifically for certain things that i am goign through, for over a month now i have been very sick i had larungitus and bronchitus for 2 weeks an then started to have server abdonminal pains i had gone to the ER two times, they gave me a GI coctail sent me home with meds and said it was just gerd. I was back the next day in servere pain again they tok more xrays as they did the day before and this dr told me that i was just inhaling to much air an i needed to loose weight. by this time i was throwing up hardly eating and just feeling miserable. so that next day i went to my pcp finally and she said it sounded like gerd, and she did an exam an felt around and soon as she touched the aspot on my right side it was very tender she said did they do an ultrasound in the ER i said no the ER dr took blood work and he said it came back normal, my PCP said reguardless if the bloodwork came bk ok or not they should of done a u/s while i was in there. soo that next week i had an u/s and it was so sore when they did that. the next day i was having swelling head headaches i go to the er and i was serverly dehydrated gave me a bunch of fluids an told me that the results of the u/s was that i had gallstones i have 2 of them but my gallbladder over all looked fine. and that i would need to have it taken out. so then the next monday i called my drs office and told them i needed to talk to the dr so my dr called me bk and referd me to a surgeon and while talking to my pcp she was scaring the crap out of me saying since i am overweight it puts me at hgiher risk of needing the open tummy surgery instead of the liproscopic i have never gone through anything like this before i have been put under one time when i was 18 to have hammer toe surgery but that was alot different. this is majior surgery we are talking about here. so at the end of the day i have lost 24 lbs while being sick, i cant hardly eat anythng cept clear fluids and bland food because im scared to go through an attack again. so i have been having nothing but nauseas and diareah for over a month now they have me on gas relief pills, Reglan, and previcid. i am just here looking for some support because of my anxiety i am scared to death of going through this. |
