I have had many thing wrong over the years but never really felt the best. I had ulcerative colitis for many years, got that better, the they said I had a lactose intolerance, then it was fibromyalgia, then it was IBS. I have doctored for years and my gastrologist said I had a malasorption problem and I should go home and cut out greasy things because that could probably help. It didn't help but they said there is not anything they could do. So I started researching MALASORBTION on the ...

Hi Librarian 2011, I agree totally with Colinsmom get the Breathtest done if you haven't already had it done. I suffered with Fructose Intolerance from 2007 - 2011 and it wasn't until I read on the internet that a breathtest could detect this intolerance. Before that I had never heard of this word Fructose and my doctor and both of the specialists I went to did not suggest that it could be this either. I have no faith left in doctors or so called specialists. I live in New Zealand and this yea...

Hi, I also was diagnosed this year in January 2012 of being fructose intolerant and I had been suffering with this condition for 4 years believe it or not.
In 2007 I went on a 6 week trip to the States and when I got back all of a sudden I would belch more than normal. I went to my doctor and we tried several remedies such as medication and this did not help. I went to a gastro specialist and he had the cheek to tell me it was a habit and that I was taking in too much air when I spoke. I c...

Hi - it's me again...

I got many PMs from members asking to upload their own videos. At this point we can't add to the library . but hope we will be able to soon, we understand the importance of that!

and another (not related) topic...Two weeks ago we added to the (now available on chrome too) the Groupon application that shows you the hottest daily deals in your town, every day. We received great feedback from the people using the toolbar so I suggest trying it out!!!

Hello Collinsmum,

Welcome....I haven't been here nearly as much as I should, so please forgive me.

First, I'd say ask the doc for a coeliac gene test. It is a simple blood test....you don't need any sort of diet, etc for it. If it is negative, you have completely ruled out coeliac disease. If it is positive, You little fellow may or may not be coeliac, and the doc can go on with further testing. It can be quite dangerous to go off gluten when you don't need to because so many of the gl...

Sorry, haven't been here for a while, lost track of address. Thanks for your reply, must say we try to use as much natural foods and fresh good quality meat etc from local farms. She is amazingly grown up about what she can eat and always checks, the school has a very good policy that they don't share food and her teachers also know what she can eat but she always reminds them if they forget and offer her fruit.
Hi All:

I decided to sign up for this group as a recommendation from my dietitian. I was diagnosed last week with Fructose Intolerance and Microscopic Colitis. I'm starting a extremely restricted diet for the next four weeks, and then I will be able to reintroduce foods to my diet. I am slightly overwhelmed, but know that with time this whole change will be a way of life...

It is a pleasure meeting all of you!
