Hi Joe, I didn't know much of anything at all about Crohn's so I had to look it up, but it does sort of seem like they could be related. That doesn't really help you at all since I am just following your thought process and it probably doesn't change how the doctors would treat them either.

My food allergies are comparatively mild and easy to avoid so I just don't eat them, I have emergency meds for if I do and have a really bad reaction, but I have never had to use the epi-pen. Benadryl is usually plenty for me and most of the time I manage to avoid problems just fine.

Crohn's is nothing like that easy to deal with, and a lot of people's food allergies are not that easy to avoid either. I don't really know how doctors treat those people's allergies to know if it is related to what they do with Crohn's or not. It does seem like they might at least spring from the same root cause- the immune system misidentifying threats. Have you asked a doctor about it? If so what did they say?
