FMS and Migraine Headaches Support Group

i have for the past year regularly have foot and ankle swelling which hurts and feels like skin is too tight for my feet. lately, my hands and fingers swell, one day my hand hurt so bad and i couldn't close my hand.all doctor says is elevate my feet, doesn't tell me why it's happening. any suggestions. i'm thinking maybe an epsom salts soak might help, anybody try this. also, body aches severe that i can't sit still. what do any of you do for this? is there an alternative to pain meds. currently on Lyrica. please help.

Have you had a rheumatoid factor test completed? You might have some arthritis going on, along with your Fibro. You might need an anti-inflammatory.

I use Epsom Salts all the time. I practically live in the bathtub. The hot water and salts do wonders for me. *I also purchase dead sea salts from a place called- San Fransisco Salt Co. I love, love, this company!! Note: It's best to purchase in bulk from them, when on sale, and w/free shipping. I'm currently stocked up for at least another couple months.

As far as the not being able to sit still for a long period without pain- Unfortunately, this is a huge thing for us Fibromites. I struggle during the day with sitting, and the night with trying to sleep. I'm on a huge combo of meds that do help some though. Try and hang in there! ~hugs~
