MDJunction to me

cinderella"MDJunction to me is a life saver... when i first was diagnosed with Scheuermann's Disease i wrote a message to a page i found on google, hoping that they could help me.... you'd never know it but that weird feeling (you know that one where it feels like someone actually cares) came over me when i opened my email next day to find that someone on the other side of the world (at the American Medical Library)had read my message while i was sleeping, and there low and behold was the address to MDJunction.... well it is everything to me, i live it breathe it and love it!!!!! I have found many people who are struggling with similar issues banding together to help each other. It is the best place in the world, and i couldn't think of another place to go to meet so many lovely people....

thanks MDJunction

I am so excited I graduate from high school on sunday! my last day is on thursday. but this also means im under a lot of stress for a few days to get everything finished up so that i have good grades.

Also i have been working in the Deli at Dillons for the past month and a half. I wish i did not have to work because it is killing me but i need the money because i am moving from my boyfriends parents to an apartment with my boyfriend which means i will have to pay bills. But last nigh i found out the craziest thing at work. My manager in the Deli who is prob in her 30's also have FMS. I am starting to wonder if some one up there is really watching out for me, because i have this hard job but have a manager who can fully understand everything that happens when it comes it fibro. its just so weird but cool, so now i have two adults around me with fibro which makes me so lucky.. but it is still not the same because they did not get it until they were past 20. so this is why i like talking on this forum because most are around my age or were when you started having symtoms.

My dream job is to be a head start teaching but also to work with the special needs kids. I want to make a difference in those childrens lives that will effect everything after. So im going to a communtiy college for two years then off to a major university like Kstate for three years, i know this is going to be very challengeing, all of it.........

I just want to know what you all think of this.

I think it's awesome that you are graduating! That's a huge accomplishment for a fibro sufferer. Way to go. I do think you have a guardian angel looking out for you. What are the odds of having a manager who understands what you are going thru? I love that you want to be a head start teacher. I picked that in middle school during a career day. We got to observe & ask questions. It was a lot of fun. What community college are you going to go to? The closest one to me is Johnson County Community College. And I went for a year to Manhattan Christian College, which is right across the street from K-State. I had high hopes of getting a dual degree with K-State in Child Psychology. In particular grief counseling for kids dealing with chronic diseases & dying. It was an 8 year program though & my fibro was at it worst when I was in my first year of college, not to scare you off. Everyone is different, just watch your stress level. It could trigger a flare up if you're not careful. Good luck & have a great summer!

Love ya,
