My Einstein of a pain management doctor knows I hate the taste of Sub. I'm just not an orange type person and I have several orange stained pillow cases that I fell asleep after putting them under my tonge after waking up early and realizing it's going to be "one of those Fibro days".

Suboxone should be coming out in two new forms. A patch which I personally wouldn't use as I've been on Fentynal and hated it. The second type is what my doctor described as a "listerine mouth strip" type method. That's my personal desire something that dissolves instantly on the top of the tongue, I'm sure it will still be sublingually but one can hope. Smile

My doctor believes the new Subs will be available in November of this year. I have an appointment that month just in case they are out so I can switch.

This maybe a double post as I haven't had time to read through everyone's posts but I am excited about the changes.

Thanks for the info, Carrie!! I have not heard about this. It is very interesting!! I too do not like the taste of Suboxone and do not think I ever will!! An alternative sounds great!! Thanks again; I'll be on the look out for it!

That's great, but what I REALLY want and need is for someone to come out with a generic! The company that makes it has no plan to market one themselves- why should they? They're making a fortune!

Hi Carrie,

Are you new to our group? If so WELCOME Smile

That is a great idea if they do come out with different options. Thank you for that information. I personally don't mind the pill and will stick with that. The taste really does not bother me anymore. I just drink water right after taking it.

I am not a Doctor. The information I give is from personal experience and reasearch. It is only advice.
