The Suboxone doesn't seem to be helping any of my pain at this point in my life. I think it's because I have a horrible and very rare migraine disease called sporadic hemiplegic migraines and I have them almost every day. So that among my other sicknesses, I just have a lot of pain all of the time. I am just venting right now. I know that there are so many people out there that have it so much worse than I do, but I just needed to talk about this. Thanks to anyone that reads this.

Jenny, I'm so sorry to hear that Suboxone is not helping your pain at this time. Suboxone has never helped my migraines, my shoulder/arm nerve pain, my hip/leg nerve pain, or my bladder pain from interstitial cystitis. It only helps my fibro pain. Although sometimes when so many different type pains attack at once, I wonder if anything will help!

I'm sorry that you have to live with migraines; that is a miserable life without adding other problems. I can relate somewhat to your migraines. For at least 10 years I had sinus infections and migraines almost constantly. I even had 2 sinus surgeries, but I continued to have migraines. I finally went to a Headache Clinic and had some special tests done to try to find out what was going on and what meds might work best for me. After a few years, some lifestyle changes and several changes in meds, my migraines are finally under control - most of the time. I probably have maybe 1 each week, on average. I still have episodes where I have migraines for 4-7 days, but thankfully that is not often.

I know you stated that you have a rare migraine disease that causes these migraines, so you are probably already aware of this. (I'm posting this info, because I was totally unaware of it during my "migraine years.") I found (with my doctor's help) that certain additives in foods (MSG, nitrates, nitrites), certain foods (varies for different people - but bananas is one of my biggest migraine triggers), certain odors/scents, and weather were some of my migraine triggers. I finally got the migraines under control with meds (Wellbutrin is what works for me best.), and avoiding as many triggers as possible.

I hope you can get at least some of your pains under control before long.

Gentle Hugs,
Carla
