I have a question.

I just started taking my Norco 10's on Wenesday, and I feel sooooo much better.

I'm getting them for a short while. Although they are for my arthritis the NP at my pain clinic said that after I have knee surgery that my pain will go away and I wont need the pain meds anymore.

Firstly I will only be having my knee caps recentered to prevent the arthritis from getting in them. Secondly I will be having my other knee done six months later. They are also going to cut out some of the damaged bone.

I already asked the surgion if this will take care of the arthritis and he said no it's only to prevent it from moving into the knee caps.

Why then would she take me off something that takes my pain away?

Now for the Fibro pain it's also working and I didn't expect it to work this good since I always read things about narcotic pain meds not working for those who have Fibro.

It's working great for me! It took a debilitating pain down to a dull ache!

Does your narcotic pain meds work as well for you?

If this works so well for my Fibro I don't know what the problem with leaving me on them would be.

I seriously don't want to go back to the pain I was in!

I am on Oxycontin 10 mg every 12 hours ad also oxycodone 5mg 1-2 every 4 hours as needed for break through pain...yes it does help take the edge off but it does just bring it down to a dull ache....but I am glad I have them or it would be unberable. I would ask them if you could have a script for your FM. Does hurt to ask....my Dr was the one who said I needed something since nothing else was working. I am so glad you are feeling better...I was worried about you!!!

I take methadone and oxycodone and valium. It takes the edge off but does not get rid of it all together. Nothing else seems to work.

I hope I die before my GP retires.I take Lorcet 10mg,soma 350 mg and xanex for my crazy son and when my husband loses it.What are Narcos? I've never heard of them before.I have the tolerance of an elaphant as my father before me did and my son so it is genetic, but others don't believe me and think I'm some druggie seeking more meds.My meds barely take the edge off, but I can function.I don't know how else you would manage chronic pain.

I take lor tab 10, Flexeril, Klonopin, elevil & clexa. It takes the edge off, but I am still in pain all the time. They will not give me anything for brake threw pain. Now my GP will not give me the lor tap any more. I have to find a pain management doc now.

I just hope I can find a good one that will work with me.

I have taken so many different kinds of pain meds. I build up a tolorance to them and have to get them changed about every 9months to a year

I have a lot of medical problems that I have not talked about here. Because you have asked, I will open up a little more.

Besides the fibro, I have bi-polar, panic attacks, and heart trouble. Right now I dont care to go into the other medical problems I have. when my bi-polar gets to messing with me, I get panic attacks. That messes with my heart troubles. That causes problems like I have been dealing with the last few days.

I am depressed, afraid to leave the house and by all rights should be in the hospital right now. I have been watching my blood preasure all day. this afternoon my bp was 149/120 (p) 127.

Sorry, I cant keep going. maybe another day I can talk more about this. Right now I just cant. Sorry
